This is one of the few hotels we return to. It is a very comfortable place to spend time. The service is friendly and excellent. The food is high quality but with a limited choice. The Quaich bar is stocked with hundreds of whiskies and a place to learn more about one of Scotland's largest industries. And there are plenty of distilleries within easy driving distance.
Spent a lovely Christmas lunch with friends (5 human and 2 canine). Menu was good, and fairly typical of a Scottish pub/inn and arrived in a reasonable time after taking our order. Service was very good, friendly and efficient. Location of the pub for post-lunch dog walking is excellent!!
A charming hotel set in a delightful location very close to the River Spey. A walk to the historic Telford Bridge close by is strongly recommended. The hotel has an older world historic charm about it. For our two night stay the room was …
Comfortable and spacious bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Unfortunately, the curtains didn't close completely over one window and this wasn't rectified during our stay despite being advised of the problem. Breakfast was quite nice, but …
The best whisky bar anywhere, thanks to the most knowledgeable barman! Excellent dining and very comfortable room. Dog friendly was an added bonus. So close to many of Scotland's most famous distilleries.
Quirky Hotel with pub attached.
Rooms are great, country house type with big, big four poster bed and full on furniture.
whiskey Bar on the ground floor was awesome and the bar manager very well versed in the language of whiskey.
while the food (dinner and breakfast) was good the service was a little off.... no teaspoons or sugar on the table, chips not fries , wrong steaks to the wrong people, a little disorganised.
Great location for a whisky tour or walking tour.
the pub downstairs was also very nice with a mix of locals and guests
A gem of a hotel! Beautifully decorated, refined yet warm & welcoming. Delightful bedroom with lovely touches; prints on the walls, books, throws on the chairs and some whisky to welcome you!
It's a great hotel with wonderful staff who are always there to help. The whisky bar has over 750 bottles and is the second largest in the world...who needs to go on over-priced tours!? Food was also exceptional and live music as well.
